“Trump returns to Manhattan court, criticizes proceedings, and faces legal battles.”
Former President Donald Trump has confirmed his appearance in a Manhattan court, following a gag order in a separate case. Trump expressed gratitude for legal experts defending his innocence on his Truth Social page.
In a civil case led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Jr., and Trump Organization executives are accused of inflating asset values for financial advantages. Trump lamented the lack of a jury in the case and criticized the judge for being politically biased.

Despite not being obliged to attend, Trump showed up a day after a federal judge barred him from commenting on prosecutors, court staff, and witnesses in his trial for conspiring to overturn the 2020 election. This trial is set to begin on March 4, just before the “Super Tuesday” Republican primary elections.
Judge Arthur Engoron had previously ruled that Trump’s financial statements contained “false and misleading” data, exaggerating property values by billions of dollars over several years. Engoron also ordered the seizure and liquidation of Trump’s companies, pending an appeal.
