Self-destructive Europe: Greece, an international border state of the European Union, reverts to slavery

It was the norm in ancient times. Not so now, at least in the West.

Greece lies in the South-East Europe. It’s not as big or prosperous as Texas or even Arizona but it’s a nation with great history, with many ups and downs. In the 21st century though, Greeks have been infected by the same disease it’s plaguing all the West: self-destruction through slavery. The Greek government has unveiled (or, to be all technical, “let slip” via a journalist who happens to be a relative of a prominent member of the Greek cabinet) a plan to employ around 300,000 undocumented migrants in various public infrastructure projects.

Mrs Eleni Varvitsiotis, when you invite 300.000, you end up with 3.000.000. It’s practically a natural law.

This initiative aims to address labor shortages (the same old and tiring story), particularly in the tourism and agricultural sectors, while simultaneously revamping Greece’s aging infrastructure (because all Greeks are infertile). Greek Minister for Migration Dimitrios Kairidis acknowledges the potential risk of incentivizing further illegal migration (YOU DON’T SAY) but emphasizes the importance of transitioning from the informal to formal labor sector to boost public revenue through taxes and contributions (it’s all about rescuing a debt-ridden state at the cost of their citizens then. SOUNDS FAMILIAR?).

*Star-Spangled Banner intensifies*

One notable project includes the long-delayed construction of a subway system in Thessaloniki, which has suffered setbacks since the 2009 financial crisis. Additionally, migrants will participate in building a new airport near Heraklion, Crete, which experienced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These plans are proof that Greeks have taken the controversial slogan FORCED LABOR GETS SH1T DONE far too seriously!
