Third time’s (not) a charm: yet another Republican debate

Without Trump’s participation, it’s a little more than an open convention of GOP’s “intraparty opposition“.

Tonight, on Wednesday, November 7th, a total of five candidates will take part in the GOP’s third presidential candidates’ debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami-Dade County. To meet the requirements for participation in the third debate set by the Republican National Committee, (RNC) candidates were mandated to secure a minimum of 4% support in two nationwide polls, or they needed to obtain 4% support in one nationwide poll along with meeting the criteria in two polls from among the early-voting states: Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina. Importantly, all the polls used for determining qualification had to be officially sanctioned and approved by the RNC. These five candidates are Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Chris Christie. You already know who’s going to skip this debate too…
