Storming federal buildings is now a thing: The Cannon Office Building invasion

Republicans started it and of course “anti-Zionist Jewish” Democrats of a group called “Jewish Voice for Peace” will take it to its extremes: after all, it’s just a “mostly peaceful” disruption of government functions, not a resurrection, right?

On Wednesday, October 10th, around a hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators staged a protest inside the Cannon Office Building in Washington, DC. The protestors chanted slogans like “ceasefire now” and “let Gaza live,” advocating for an end to hostilities in the Middle East. Many of the demonstrators concealed their identities with face masks and wore black clothing, unfurling a banner calling for Israel to halt its response to rocket attacks on civilians. This occupation took place on one of the key facilities where congressional staff and lawmakers operate.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was present during the incident and pointed out what she saw as a double standard in the treatment of these pro-Palestinian demonstrators compared to the protesters involved in the January 6th 2021 events. Capitol Police has apprehended and evicted the demonstrators as the occupation continued.

Rep. Greene also expressed concerns about where the funds raised by these activists might ultimately go, suggesting they could support terrorist organizations.
