Refugees for thou, not for me

Egypt refuses Palestinians, wants them where they are, just like Hamas

On October 13th, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, speaking at a military graduation, urged Gaza residents to stay on their land rather than seek refuge elsewhere e.g. to his land through the Rafah border passage. This came after Israel recommended that those fleeing Hamas consider relocating to other Arab countries. Many Arabs support Hamas’s goals but are hesitant to assist Palestinians in leaving conflict zones. Israel urged over a million people in southern Gaza to evacuate due to an impending military operation against Hamas, emphasizing the need for personal safety.

This is the President of Egypt and definitely NOT a “refugees welcome” guy

Hamas launched a widespread terrorist assault in Israel, targeting civilians, which resulted in a high death toll and swift and harsh Israeli retaliation, including an impending ground invasion of Gaza. Egypt’s President Sisi expressed no sympathy for Israeli victims but refused to accept Palestinian refugees, arguing that Egypt already hosts millions of refugees from other countries such as Syria, Yemen, and Sudan. Sisi maintained that the Palestinian cause is paramount to all Arabs and that Egypt supports the creation of a Palestinian state but not at the expense of Egyptian national security. AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN pro-“OPEN BORDER” CROWD, HOW ABOUT THIS?
