Juanita Castro passes away

Juanita Castro, the sibling of Cuban leaders Fidel and Raúl Castro, passed away at the age of 90 in Miami. She had resided in Florida for almost six decades, having left Cuba shortly after the communist government took power. Juanita, who collaborated with the CIA against the Cuban regime, died on Monday, December 5th, as confirmed by journalist María Antonieta Collins, co-author of her 2009 book, “Fidel and Raúl, My Brothers. The Secret History,” in a post on Instagram.

Collins praised Juanita as an extraordinary woman and a relentless advocate for the cause of Cuba, expressing deep admiration for her life’s journey and commitment.
