Most Hamas government buildings are now in control of the IDF (Israeli Defence Force)
On Tuesday, November 14th, the IDF announced the capture of several key Hamas governmental sites in Gaza City, including the parliament, government complex, police headquarters, and the governor’s house. Fierce battles ensued with Hamas gunmen as Israeli troops advanced through the neighborhoods of Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal. The military confirmed the death toll of IDF soldiers in the Gaza ground operation at 46, releasing the names of two soldiers killed on Monday. Rocket barrages from Gazan terrorists injured several Israelis, with one person in serious condition in Tel Aviv.
The IDF claimed that a university engineering building raided by troops served as a weapons development institute, and they captured a Hamas compound with training facilities, a command center, interrogation rooms, and detention cells. Social media circulated a photo of IDF’s Golani Brigade inside Hamas’s military police headquarters, holding Israeli and Golani Battalion flags.
