Antisemitism on the rise: Last night chaos in New York Central Station

Israel – Palestine war brings out the worst tendencies of our society…

On Friday night, November 10th, Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan experienced a temporary suspension of service due to a pro-Palestinian demonstration in New York City against Israel’s actions in Gaza. Over a thousand protesters marched through the streets, tearing down posters and burning an Israeli flag. The demonstration, organized by pro-Palestinian groups, aimed to “flood Manhattan for Gaza.” Social media posts from organizations like Within Our Lifetime and the Palestinian Youth Movement called for people to join the protest.

Videos show confrontations, including a protester climbing a streetpost to remove flags and an Israel supporter arguing with the crowd. By 9 p.m., the gathering outside Grand Central Terminal led to its closure for a few hours. Protesters attempted to break in, kicking glass doors, causing damage. The terminal reopened at 11:50 p.m. after intervention by law enforcement.
