Pennsylvania voting machines glitch: familiar and suspicious

Authorities are trying hard to make everyone question the electoral process, even Democrats.

Pennsylvania voters in Northampton County express doubts about the integrity of local elections following touchscreen voting device issues during the recent Election Day, reminiscent of glitches in the county’s 2019 judges race. Election officials are working to restore trust after voters found discrepancies between printouts confirming their votes and choices for two judges races. In 2019, a programming glitch in the touchscreen machines caused an undercount in a local judge’s race. Concerns resurfaced in 2023, leading to heightened mistrust among voters. The glitch supposedly resulted from human error, and Election Systems & Software (ES&S) acknowledged that pre-election software testing should have detected the problem.

Despite assurances from ES&S, local leaders, including Democrats, express skepticism and call for a full investigation. Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt acknowledges the incident’s concern but emphasizes that it should not undermine overall confidence in touchscreen devices.
