Meta (the artist formerly known as Facebook) is trying hard to remain relevant

For Gen Z, Futurama is just an old cartoon but millenials want to be as obnoxious as boomers as fast as possible and with as little money as they can

According to a recent report by Business Insider, Meta (formerly Facebook) is launching Gen AI Personas, AI chatbots with personalities such as a sarcastic robot inspired by Futurama’s Bender, in order to attract Gen Z who is abandoning the platform en masse, assuming they had set up a profile in the first place. Meta aims to engage Gen Z with witty AI chatbots across its apps, but their choice of humor, rooted in older characters and shows, may not align with today’s youth’s preferences and will very probably end up being just rude and an endless source of memes.

“How do you do, fellow social media?”. This meme itself is dated. So meta!

So, if you still have Facebook profiles, expect Help to become more and more useless. Only avatars will save Meta in the long run and we are not looking forward to it…
