It seems Americans, as well as the rest of the world, will pour into the theaters to watch a child tr@fficking gang being dismantled, even though feminist Barbie chaos or leftist Oppenheimer anachronism is being advertised and promoted everywhere.
Following a recent endorsement by Donald Trump, “Sound of Freedom” has surpassed $150 million in earnings, as viewers keep queuing up to watch the independently created and distributed drama. The film revolves around the story of Tim Ballard, the former Homeland Security agent who abandoned his government position to dedicate his efforts to rescuing children from networks involved in sex trafficking.
It’s a quite challenging summer for cinema industry: “The Flash” has officially bombed (post-modern anti-mythology is not without its failures, it seems) and the new “Mission impossible” movie (WHAT YEAR IS IT) in underperforming. The only comforting fact for the Hollywood, ESG-compliant boards of directors is that a woke movie that has not immediately gone to financial shit has finally been released. Although the old Barbie narrative is as much a corporate bed time story as the new, quasi-feminist Barbie narrative, it has been proven useful and much more prone to wokization than, say, Ghostbusters or James Bond. What a surprise.
“Sound of freedom” proves people crave for a real, essential, and peaceful battle against the system, not intersectional whining that’s easily suppressed by reparations, quotas, and other “affirmative actions”.
